How can I make money from Google AdSense with WordPress or some other blog/site?

AdSenseprofitable?becauseformula

Hi. I need help with Google AdSense and blogs.

- I have a www.wordpress.com blog. How can I put AdSense ads there? If I can’t, is there an easy way to move my blog contents to Blogger?

- Which topics are profitable in AdSense? Is there a comprehensive list online? I mean either topics or specific keywords of the topics.

- How many times must I update my blog for it to be profitable? Assuming I can write about a popular topic, would I make significant money (say, a few hundred dollars) writing 15-20 posts per month?

- How many blogs/sites should I have for AdSense to pay off significantly?

I need to know because I am trying to balance time between my family and my work. Thanks.

You really won’t be able to put Adsense on a wordpress.com blog (if you had your own website and used wordpress.org’s platform that would work). Regardless, there should be a section of WordPress (on your switchboard) to export your blog entries. I’m not as familiar with Blogger, but you should be able to import your articles in the admin there also.

As for Adsense itself, they have thousands upon thousands of advertisers, so any topic area is profitable. In fact, the nice thing about Adsense is that they will show relevant ads to people all over the word (i.e. people in Germany won’t see English ads, they’ll see German ads).

There’s no formula for how many posts per month make a profitable blog. I read a very profitable blog that posts once a week, while another blog I read posts 2 or 3 times per day. Your tone and audience will dictate how often you want to post (do what feels comfortable to you). The real thing that will make your blog profitable is quality content and time (it will take a long time before you’ve built a following and make decent money).

One good blog has the potential to produce significant earnings, but it always takes time to get to that point. Having a few blogs can help, but I wouldn’t stretch yourself too thin (keep it at 3 or 4 max). When you try to split your time between too many blogs, your content will suffer dramatically and you won’t build a following at any of them.

I would check out problogger.net for more information. He’s worked his way into six figure earnings with his blogs. He’s definitely the master, and his daily articles are a must read for any serious blogger.

Hope that helps! Good luck!
